Rt. Rev. Joseph Mlola of Kigoma visited home - Moshi Diocese February 2015.
On July 10, 2014, the Holy Father appointed Father Joseph Mlola, ALCP/OSS, Rector of St. Paul Kipalapla Interdiocesan Major Seminary, Tabora as Bishop of the Diocese of Kigoma (Tanzania). Bishop Mlola was born on Januraary 9, 1966 in Mashati Rombo, Moshi Diocese. After secondary school Bishop Mlola joined Apostles of Jesus Major Seminary to study Philosophy. He then completed his Theological studies at St. Paul Kipalapala. He was ordained Priest on 12 July 1997 at the Institute of Apostolic Life Community of Priests in the Opus Spiritus Sanct - ALCP/)OSS. After his studies in Dogmatic Theology at Pontifical Urbanian University, Rome 2005-2011, he was Vice Rector at St. Charles Lwanga Seminary - Dar-Es-Salaam and then Rector of St. Paul Kipalapala. He was ordained as the Bishop of Kigoma 26 October 2014.
February 2015 Bishop Mlola was given historical reception in his home diocese of Moshi when he made his first visit as Bishop of Kigoma. We wish him success in his ministry and continue to pray for him.
